Empleo: PLUX Wireless Biosignals hiring a PhD Candidate

As part of an innovative research grant PLUX is hiring a PhD candidate researcher under the AffecTech initiative. 

 

AffecTech is a network funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (grant agreement No 722022) that provides a cutting edge multidisciplinary doctoral training program dedicated to the design, development and evaluation of personal technologies for affective health bringing together human-computer interaction researchers, biomedical engineers, and clinical psychologists from across Europe.

    Buenas! Me he graduado este año en la UPC en ingeniería biomédica y tengo bastante claro hacia donde quiero enfocar mi futuro pero no se como hacerlo. Me gustaría especializarme hacia el procesado de imagen para mejorar el diagnóstico de pacientes, añadiendo a esto la inteligencia artificial para dar aplicaciones mas exactas y fiables. Mi pregunta es, ¿Qué máster tanto dentro como fuera de España me podría especializar hacia esta rama? ¿Sería mejor que realizase un máster en inteligencia artificial o informática y me especializase después en la medicina o existe alguno especifico de este campo?     A Predoctoral position is available in the Biomedical Engineering Group at the University of Valladolid (Spain). The Predoctoral researcher will focus on deepening the research, implementation and setting of computational algorithms to simulate the neurodegeneration mechanisms involved in dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Requirements Candidates must hold a in Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics. We are seeking highly motivated and creative junior Predoctoral researchers with strong interests in signal processing, machine learning and computational modelling. Strong oral and written communication skills in English are essential. Expertise in Matlab and Python programming is preferred.
